The Hampton Roads region has been extraordinary kind to us and to Decorum Furniture and we are very thankful for the support we receive. Part of our motto is “paying it forward” and Claus Ihlemann, Robert Roman and the Decorum Team try to live by that and we have made it part of our company culture. We believe that supporting organizations that support others is important, so we can improve lives for others. It may be through education and the arts, improve healthy living, allowing people with disabilities to live independently or opportunities to participate in sports or outdoor activities. Our region has so many great local organizations, but we would like to highlight just a handful. Please take a moment and check out these organizations, each of them would welcome your support as well.
Ghent Pride 2019
This event was created in response to requests from the local communities wanting a more casual gathering reminiscent of events years prior. Under the leadership of The Ghent Business Association (GBA) and with the chairmanship of Robert Roman, working with a group of dedicated volunteers, this event kicked off Pride Week in the 757 region, was a smashing success, and will be an annual event going forward. Special guest and speaker was The First Lady of Virginia, Pamela Northam.
Hampton Roads Pridefest 2019
June 22, Governor Ralph Northam and the First Lady attended the event, and stopped by Decorum Furniture’s tent to say hello. Approximately 40,000 people attended the event. Claus Ihlemann and Robert Roman with the Decorum Furniture and The Palace Shops & Station has been Premier Sponsors since 2011. The Event is now the largest Coastal Pride Event in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
